WHAT IS CARAMEL À LA MODE? Caramel à la Mode is my digital corner of the world. A digital drip of my essence, creative interests, and musings. I am a creative and a lover of aesthetics. From fashion to food, to lifestyle and travel, aesthetics draw me in and inspire me to create.

I’ve always been an avid journaler. It was natural for me. When things went digital, I started blogging on Xanga. The internet has changed a lot since then, but that’s a story for another time. Whether digitally or using good ol’ fashioned pen and paper, I’ve always enjoyed capturing my thoughts and creating visual representations of what is taking place in my mind. For me, it’s like a catalog of my life seasons and the growth that is taking place.

I started Caramel à la Mode my freshmen year of college. It was a way to catalog my days and interest. Back then, you could find me posting my outfits (for class and the club), my 5-star college meals, my favorite fashion trends and style icons, ambiguous nods to college drama, songs from my iPod Touch playlists, DIYs, and anything else I found intriguing.

Those days I was all over the place. Nowadays, I am creating my own aesthetic through fashion and style, good food, great conversation, and the integrity of just being myself. Outside of the internet, I enjoy getting dressed up, being cute, dining at concept restaurants, cooking good meals at home, perusing through art museums and galleries, bike riding, swimming in natural bodies of water (but pools are cool too), having a margarita or two, traveling, and relaxing in the calm of enjoying it all. That, my friends, is my à la mode.

THE CALM IS MY INNERMOST SPACE. A PLACE OF KNOWING AND BELIEVING WITH ENDURANCE AND STEADFASTNESS IN ,MY SPIRIT. IT IS A PLACE OF STILLNESS WHERE THE SOOTHING PRESENCE OF LOVE, JOY, AND PEACE OVERFLOW INTO POOLS OF REFRESHING TO REFRESH YOU.
